- Hellcat 2.4L and 2.7L Superchargers are rated at 16,000 maximum input RPM.
- Even with aftermarket ceramic bearings, JB Performance does not guarantee any reliability of the supercharger with any aftermarket pulley.
- A simple detonation event or delayed bypass valve opening can alter the timing clamp inside the supercharger. Removing the one-way bearing from the pulley on the supercharger increases risk due to rotational mass from the rotors during a sudden acceleration to deceleration event.
- Increasing the torque limit of the timing clamp beyond specifications can tighten the clamp to keep it from moving, but then yields a new problem of adding excess pre-load to the rotor bearings.
A 2.4L is rated at a maximum of 780HP. A 2.7L is rated at a maximum 880hp without other oxygenated fuels. Remember, if you want more power, sometimes there is better value in buying a supercharger rated for the HP that you seek. We do offer trade in’s on the stock supercharger and we do sell Whipple, Magnuson, and Kenne Bell replacement head units that are larger in capacity and efficiency.
