WARRANTY REQUEST

To receive your Limited Warranty on your rebuild, the purchaser will be required to read all warranty paperwork and return the warranty card to validate the warranty. The warranty card is returned with the supercharger paperwork. If you lost your warranty card, the details are at the bottom of this page.


Limited Warranty: WARRANTY REQUEST REQUIRES THE UNIT TO BE RETURNED. Any discussion/demands by phone or email will not be accepted for warranty. Any disassembly from original work will void warranty.

WHAT PRODUCTS ARE COVERED:


This limited warranty applies only to the product as serviced by Jon Bond Performance (JBP). New superchargers and Supercharger Kits are warrantied by the respective manufacturer. We operate in Kossuth Co, State Of Iowa, USA.


WHEN WARRANTY BEGINS:


The warranty period begins on the date the product serviced is INVOICED to the purchaser. Limitations Repair, replacement, or a refund of not more than the retail price of the rebuild services are the exclusive remedies under this limited warranty or any implied warranties. JBP does not authorize any person/employee to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the product serviced. Warranty coverage is limited to the first retail purchaser of service. This limited warranty is not transferable and terminates upon the first retail purchaser’s sale or other transfer of the product serviced. Any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of this written warranty. Some states and jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights.

WHAT IS COVERED AND HOW LONG:

JBP honors the limited warranty to the first retail purchaser of the service, that parts and or labor we installed will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the period of 12 months or 12,000 miles (20,000 kilometers), whichever comes first, from the date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”). This warranty is an express limited warranty. If the service fails during the Warranty Period under normal operating conditions as a result of a defect in our materials and or labor, we will repair the product, using new, used or refurbished replacement parts. If the product cannot be repaired, when caused by our parts or labor, we will refund not more than the retail price of the rebuild. You must pay the costs of returning any previously serviced product for a warranty claim. JBP is not responsible for any freight or handling charges on any products returned. The decision whether the supercharger should be repaired, replaced or a refund of not more than the retail price of the service provided will be made by JBP. JBP neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any other liability in connection with the warranty. This limited warranty is subject to the exceptions indicated under “What is Not Covered” section below. Any claim is subject to our discretion and only after inspected at JBP or the original manufacturer’s warranty.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:


This warranty does not cover damage, defect or failure resulting directly or indirectly from any of the following:

  • Any failure due to alteration, disassembly, accident, racing, misuse, neglect, improper installation, abuse or when the Product serviced is used in applications for which they were not designed or approved.
  • Damage arising from using contaminated, poor quality or incorrect fuels.
  • The warranty does not cover any racing purposes. Any use for racing purposes will void the warranty.
  • Improper or incorrectly performed installation.
  • Unauthorized repairs.
  • Supercharger RPM exceeds maximum published RPM by manufacturer. Small pulleys and high engine rpms contribute to this.
  • Abuse, negligence or neglect.
  • Misuse – for example, racing.
  • Lack of or improper maintenance.
  • Engine oil blow by. Use a properly made oil trap to prevent this issue. Our oil is tinted blue to help determine engine oil versus supercharger oil in a supercharger.
  • Failing to check the oil level in the Product (Supercharger) periodically; refer kit specific installation manual for details.
  • Use of incorrect oil types in product gear case.
  • Any defect that occurs due to repair, modification or any other action performed by anyone other than JBP.
  • Any damage arising from a matter outside the control of JBP or its employees (for example a defect caused by the failure of a Product supplied to you by a person that is unrelated to us such as the manufacturer or your motor vehicle).
  • Corrosion from environmental conditions or chemical treatments.
  • Fire, accident or theft.
  • Loss of product after proof of shipping product.
  • Acts of God.
  • Damage caused by external environmental conditions such as improper assembly of additional components to supercharger. Example such as over-torquing of bolts, too long of bolts, excess silicone used as a gasket maker pushed into the rotor pack, bolt holes,removal/reinstalling pulley with an impact, ect.
  • Hot air intake heat damage (air pulled from within engine bay without shielding from radiator/engine heat).
  • Foreign material has entered. Dirt, debris, hard objects, gasket material, piston rings, pistons, ect.
  • Engine detonation. Engine detonation is the number ONE cause of rotor to rotor contact. Timing of rotors can be altered with detonation.
  • Excess heat: Improperly tuned engine, high heat from intercooler issues, overheating engines.
  • Alterations after service, tampered serial #’s, badges, tamper proof paint/label missing.
  • Too high or too low of an oil level.
  • Any claim made without proof of purchase being presented.
  • This warranty also does not cover the following: Normal Wear and Tear Noise, vibration, cosmetic conditions and other deterioration caused by normal wear and tear.
  • Maintenance Expense: Normal maintenance services such as changing oils, belts, injectors and any similar consumable parts.
  • Salvage or Total-Loss Vehicle Any vehicle that has ever been issued a “salvage” title or similar title under any state’s law; or has ever been declared a “total loss” or equivalent by a financial institution or insurer, such as by payment for a claim in lieu of repairs because the cost of repairs exceeded the cash value of the vehicle.
  • Incidental and Consequential Damages Incidental or consequential damages associated with a Product failure. Such damages include, but are not limited to, inconvenience; the cost of removal, installation, transportation or towing; labor; telephone calls, lodging; the loss of time; the loss of personal or commercial property; destruction of other components; and the loss of pay, profits, business or other opportunities.
  • Disclaimer of Extra Expenses and Damages The performance of necessary repairs, replacement, or refund of not more than the retail price of the Product are the exclusive remedies under this limited warranty and under any implied warranty. JBP does not authorize any person to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with the product serviced. JBP shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from breach of this written warranty or any implied warranty. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of this written warranty, except in states where this limitation is not allowed. Some states and jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

To make a warranty claim contact as designated below. To make a warranty claim, the warranty card must be returned within 30 days. While necessary maintenance on the Product serviced can be performed by any company, only JBP is authorized to service the product, when under the warranty period. Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repair voids this limited warranty. ANY SUGGESTIONS BY EMAIL ARE SIMPLY SUGGESTIONS. WE DO NOT MAKE WARRANTY DECISIONS BY PHONE OR EMAIL. IT MUST BE SENT IN TO BE EVALUATED.

Claim Procedure:

  • Schedule a repair date here. Please state warranty request in the details tab. We attempt to process and inspect warranty claim superchargers in 1 to 5 business days from appointment. You do not need to receive prior approval from us if it is still under 12 month warranty period.
  • Fill out Repair Request Form and follow instructions. Please properly tape and package for return. Return item to JBP for analysis. No paperwork or documentation submitted with the supercharger, NO WARRANTY. Documentation protects you and us.
  • Please be sure to provide Make, Model, Year of application.

If your item is off warranty, but you experienced a product issue with a rebuild of ours, you may still subject the supercharger to a warranty inspection at no charge. These are evaluated on a case by case basis.

DISPUTES:

In the event of a dispute arising regarding this warranty and not having been amicably settled, the parties agree resolution will be determined in KOSSUTH COUNTY of the STATE OF IOWA.

THIS WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.

Update as of 7/29/22: This is only for 1% who can’t seem to follow simple warranty return directions: If you decide to challenge the payment, instead of submitting the item for warranty, you will be billed for all legal fees. We make every effort to communicate as long as the party remains respectful. Condescending and disrespectful communication to our staff at any time will terminate our communication. Your name and address will be posted online to warn other vendors.
